A-V Materials

Information

Elements which are generally included:

  • The person or entity responsible for creating or compiling the content.
  • Title or description.
  • Publisher or entity responsible for making the content available.
  • Date of recording or publishing.
  • Information about the medium.
  • URL, if consulted online.

Format

Standard format for citation

Broadcasts:

Reporter or Director, A, credit. Title: Subtitle. Season #, episode #, "Title of Episode" (if appropriate). Special credits. Aired on Month Day, Year, on Network (if appropriate), duration. Internet address (if appropriate).

 

Recordings:

Performer, Composer or Director, A, credit. Title: Subtitle. Special credits. Publisher, Year, format, duration.

 

Online videos:

Author, A. or Screen name. "Title of Video." Special credits, Month Day, Year. Format (if appropriate), duration. URL of specific video.

Examples

Note: A performer or composer is only given principal credit if they are the focus of the recording, otherwise the material is listed in the bibliography by title.

Radio programme
