Information is taken from IEEE Editorial Style Manual for Authors.
• IEEE refers to Images as Figures. All tables and figures reproduced in an essay, assignment or presentation must have a full reference included in your reference list. This includes figures and tables reproduced from both others' work and your own previously submitted or published work.
• Name Figures and Tables in text in numerical order, i.e. Fig. 1, Fig. 2, Table 1, Table 2, etc.
• Abbreviate Figure to Fig. at all times when citing in the text.
• Always write Fig. in the singular form - see example below for citations of multiple Figures from the same source.
• Figures and Tables must include a caption.
• Do not use A, An or The at the beginning of a caption.
• At the end of the caption, add the reference number of the original source from which the Figure or Table was taken.
