My Unit Readings: Guide for Teaching Staff

Before you can start your reading list, you need to create a profile for yourself in My Unit Readings. Your profile will connect you as the owner of your lists.

1. Go to My Unit Readings: https://murdoch.rl.talis.com/index.html
2. In the top navigation bar, click 'Log In'. Use your current Murdoch username and password to log in.
3. Click on 'Create a profile'.
4. Set your profile to public - this allows students to search for lists you’ve published under your name.
5. Click 'Save profile'.

Before you start collecting resources for your list, you need to install the bookmarking tool in your browser. You only need to do this once for each computer/browser that you use.

1. Ensure the favorites/bookmarks toolbar is visible in your browser (Instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari).
2. In My Unit Readings, click on the 'My Bookmarks' tab then click 'Install Bookmark Button'.
3. Click 'Next', then click and drag the 'Add to My Bookmarks' button into your favorites toolbar.

Now that you've installed the bookmarking tool, you can start creating bookmarks.
