As you may know, the Library is in the process of a major systems upgrade which will come into effect in mid-December 2022. The aim of the upgrade is to improve how you search for and access our online and print resources, providing a more streamlined and cohesive experience.
Due to this upgrade, there will be some changes to the Library Catalogue, MyLibrary, and Library Search.
The Library Catalogue will no longer be available in its current form from December 13th 2022. However it will be merged with Library Search, which will also be upgraded to improve access and searchability and provide a better My Library experience. Any bookmarked links to resources on the Library Catalogue will no longer work. You will need to update these manually once the upgrade is complete.
My Library will no longer be available in its current form from December 6th 2022. This also means that ‘My Lists’, ‘Saved searches’ and ‘Reading history’ functions within My Library will no longer be available in their current form and unfortunately, we are unable to move your data and preferences to the new system. If you use any of these functions, please follow the advice provided.
My Lists
Saved searches
Reading history
These functions will become unavailable from December 6th 2022.
The Saved Search function in Library Search, connected to a Google account, will no longer be available from December 13th 2022.
We apologise for any inconvenience these changes may cause.
Once the upgrade is complete in mid-December, you can expect a new and improved MyLibrary experience which will include equivalent saved search, lists and reading history functions. We look forward to sharing more information once the upgrade is complete.
