SESSION 11: Web of Science & Incites (Clarivate) - Metrics & Impact

Gain a general overview of the many metrics that are used in the Web of Science and InCites platforms to assess publications or journals, learn helpful tips on when it is and is not reasonable to be using a specific indicator, see how you can populate your Publons – Web of Science ResearcherID or ORCID  with your publication, review, grant, educational or employment history, and then learn how to use your profile to save yourself time in extracting bibliometric impact measures around your careers body of work and showcase your influence when applying for promotions or grants.

  • How to find an author’s researcher impact within Web of Science
  • Citation metrics and bibliometric impact of a researcher’s work  
  • Citation metrics in Web of Science and analyse the citing articles
  • How to find influential papers in emerging areas of research
  • How much interest your work has generated
