During this time of uncertainty, the Library is committed to delivering the same quality services to you at home or wherever you may be.
In addition to the University’s guide to Learning from home, here's a few tips from the Library that help you study effectively from home.
If you have borrowed items from the Library, we’re automatically extending the due date so you can have them for as long as possible. The best thing to do is check My Library to see when your loans are due. If you think you have loans which have not been renewed automatically, please contact the Library.
The majority of Library resources are available online - all you need is your Murdoch username and password to access from off-campus.
Remember, it’s still really important to continue to search for and use high quality resources for your assignments and research. Don’t forget to reference your work as well!
Your best search tool is Library Search, where you can access resources including ebooks, journal articles, streaming video and much more.
You’ll also need to access your unit reading list, you can do this via MyMurdoch, My Unit Readings or it may linked from your LMS unit.
Subject Guides can also be a useful resource – they provide recommended resources for your area of study.
If there is a journal article that is not available from our collection, you may be able to request it from another library using our ArticleReach service. If your request is successful, we’ll deliver it to you online – you don’t have leave home!
The BONUS+ service has now resumed.
Our Librarians are still available to help and support you from home – they can help with a whole range of study and research enquiries including finding the best resources for your assignments.
They'll do their best to help - whether its by email or chat. It really depends on what type of help you might need so get in contact with your Subject Librarian to discuss the details: Ask our Librarians
Our staff have been working hard to support you during this difficult time. We want to ensure that you learn and study effectively, and we’ll do our best to help you achieve this goal.
