Aboriginal Records - State Records Office of Western Australia

The records relating to Aboriginal people held by the State Records Office are an important source of information for those interested in tracing their family history, particularly for those people who were removed from their families and resettled elsewhere in the State. The records are also a valuable historical resource.

AIATSIS - Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies

World-renowned research, collections and publishing organisation. Promotes knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions, languages and stories, past and present.

AUSTLANG

Provides information about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages which has been assembled from a number of referenced sources.

First Languages Australia

Provides and assists in communication between members of the Aboriginal language networks and Torres Strait Islander language networks; between our communities, governments, partner organisations and key stakeholders; and between these groups and the Australian and International public.

Social Justice Reports Index - Australian Human Rights Commission

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner is required to report annually to the Attorney-General regarding the exercise and enjoyment of human rights by Australia's Indigenous peoples. This provision also allows the commissioner to make recommendations into actions that should be taken to ensure such enjoyment.

Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre

Since 1988, Kulbardi has been the bridge between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and Murdoch University. The centre on the grounds of Murdoch University's South Street campus is a place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to come together and learn, continuing a tradition that spans over thousands of years that respects the past, lives in the present, and looks forward to the future.

Government Publications

The Australian Government Documents Collection includes works published by Commonwealth and State Government departments, statutory authorities and parliamentary bodies.

Murdoch University Library receives on deposit all materials published by the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO), and all Australian Bureau of Statistics publications related to Australia as a whole and Western Australia.
