Access to online Library resources extended

We're pleased to advise that many of our electronic resource suppliers have provided extended access to their online materials during the COVID-19 crisis.

Many more have made material directly related to COVID-19 and SARS-COV-2 freely available to assist with research. A list of publishers and the provisions they have made can be found here.

Extensions especially relevant to Murdoch teaching and learning include:

  • At least 75 publishers on Proquest Ebook Central have allowed for extended ebook licences
  • At least 75 publishers on EBSCO ebooks have allowed for extended ebook licences 
  • JSTOR has opened access to 35,000+ eBooks
  • All content on Annual Reviews are available 
  • Many films on Kanopy are freely available 
  • Several textbooks on Cambridge Core are available to us 
  • Textbooks available via ScienceDirect are available to all subscribers

We have checked how the expanded access affects High Demand ebooks, and are in the process of reviewing the current print content in High Demand, and will be communicating with relevant Unit Coordinators about available online resources.

If you need an electronic replacement for a current print text, please contact us on Ask our Librarians. We may not be able to source the same text electronically, but can provide suggestions for alternatives, where available.
