Classes

The Liaison Librarian for Sociology offers information skills classes for students and staff. These are arranged in consultation with lecturers within the School.

Librarians at the Murdoch Campus Library also offer generic information skills classes training to all University staff and students.

Classes which may be offered include:

  • Databases and Ejournals: An Overview
  • Finding Journal Articles for Your Essays
  • How to Cite References
  • Introduction to referencing with Chicago style
  • Introduction to referencing with APA style
  • An Introduction to EndNote for Windows
  •  

    Bookings are essential and can be made in person at the Reference Desk on North Wing Level 3 of the Library, by emailing all of your details (including your student ID number and email address) to Libhelp, or by phoning 08 9360 6838.

    Please Note: At various times during the year, information skills classes are also offered at the Rockingham and Peel Campus Libraries.
