What is Citing and Referencing?
A citation or reference is a consistent method of acknowledging another person's idea(s) which you have used in your own essay or assignment.
Students writing History essays are often advised to use the Footnote/Endnote style. However, always check with your unit co-ordinator or tutor before submitting your assignments, as their style preference may vary from the guidelines presented here.
