With the demise of ADT the new portal for theses will be the National Library of Australia's Trove, a free online discovery service. Trove accepts all kinds of theses, including honours theses and masters by coursework theses as well as research theses at Masters and PhD level. After searching for a topic restrict the format to thesis.


The best way to find non-Murdoch University theses using Findit is:

  1. Conduct a search for your topic.
  2. Under Content type select Dissertation (you may need to click more...)
  3. Also tick - Add results beyond your library's collection
  4. Click continue.
  5. This search can retrieve over 5 million dissertations and will include Murdoch theses.

Many universities have made available theses in digital format. Most will be searchable via library catalogues or an institutional repository.

Many databases will contain thesis material.

For example;
PsycINFO contains records from Dissertation Abstracts International that are relevant to the field of psychology
Use Search Tools - Indexes - Publication Type - dissertation abstract and dissertation

Document Delivery
